Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I come from a very musical family. I learned to sing and play basic piano by ear at a very early age, and frequently sang harmonies with my three younger siblings. I sang in church choirs from grades K-8, took piano lessons for a short time, and performed in many a church musical production.
In high school, I joined the Bel-Canto girls’ choir as a sophomore, auditioned into the Madrigals in junior and senior year, collaborated on musical entries in various talent reviews, and sang chorus in a few musicals.
Post-education, I married my high school sweetheart and focused on building a career in financial services. After several years with no musical outlet, I was happy to get back into the choir scene for a few seasons with a community choir called the Westside Singers in 2008, and later for several seasons with another community choir called the Conchords Chorale, but my true musical family is “TWT” and I am thrilled to be part of such a close-knit group since joining in 2014!
When I’m not singing (or working) I can usually be found spending time with friends and family, reading, wine tasting, or hiking . . . all while listening to a wide variety of music.
